”School under a Tree” ends in year 2026.

We have built a school in Ankilemiavotse in the Androy region, in one of the most remote places on Earth they say…, where children have no birth date, no calendar, where there is no such things as time… it’s all written in the stars.

And here we all are Together building a ”bridge of Freedom” for these beautiful children.

Life is harsh but is so very beautiful…

You can follow all updates of the project from the beginning via my Go Fund Me page:

Fundraiser by Caroline Catherine : School under a Tree

Total donations sent $7086.58 + $140.18 Gofundme fees and $68 Western union fees

Saturday 12 september,2026, I can say that the school of Ankilemiavotse is now standing and fully catered for the new school year starting Monday 14 September2026, just like in France.

A Dream come true, an accomplishment! I feel proud for all the parents there. For them to send their children to school must mean the world to them. We have given them dignity.

Sometimes dignity arrives quietly.

No school fees involved since the government don’t give a damn! The built is by our good will (our donations) and Mrs Sylvianne is teaching by good will also. We have supplied all schoolbooks to learn stage by stage, Mrs Sylvianne was born to teach, her wisdom is a gift to them all.

We are on the waitlist to fill the Well with drinkable water… in the meantime we brought enough to last a couple weeks.

With great hope, we are demanding also birth certificates to become a reality to these isolated villages… in talks… not an easy task… but we have to try!

Desks are completed. Children will soon start school at their desk. Most will hold pencils for the first time and turned the pages of their first books.

Simple lessons will be taught. Drawings will take shapes. Naming things… Laughing together.

Pedagogically simple. Emotionally overwhelming.

My heart is full and feels heavy all at once.

This was never just about building a school.

It was about reminding a ‘forgotten population’ that they are seen, valued, and loved.

And reminding ourselves what really matters!!!

This is Beautiful. Thank you for them and my deepest gratitude to have supported my project.

Deeply emotionally grateful.

Caroline.
